Our fall winter silk scarves designs are born out of the spontaneity of the watercolour painting strokes.
From the direct and free strokes emerged on a summer afternoon in a relaxed weekend without any daily occupations, where I released free the hand and feelings. In those, almost, meditative moments, where there is no mind, the landscape surrounding me takes me away. And suddenly, the painting appears in front of me, colours and shapes playing with each other in a beautiful designs.
The first painting that inspired a design was “Fishes from the Moon” – a dynamic composition that takes you beyond everyday reality. An explosion in grey, purple and blue, inspired by a school of fishes swimming under a full moon light.
“Japanese Flowers” is a composition completely inspired by a Japanese Zen garden and its warm autumn colours contrasting with the black rocks and the first snows whitening the background.
Both of them painted on a rough paper notebook with quick inspired watercolours paintbrush strokes.
A melancholic feeling of an overshadowed autumn by the Syrian migration disaster where fuchsia colour is the thread of hope for all those who cross the kaleidoscopic greyness of the rough sea. This was the inspiration for the silk square scarf print “Rain on the sea”.
The printed design of our “Afternoon Tea” silk scarf is colored on cherry and cobalt blue, evoking a comfortable and warm autumn afternoon at home, sipping a cup of hot tea in your hands. Is one of the pieces we prefer of our fall winter silk scarves collection, perfect for a special gift during Christmas holidays.
The fourth piece in the collection is the “Barn Swallow”. A design produced by two of us, playing with a painting, taking turns, to express what we felt at that moment… Where the sails of a mill make a world of birds turn. The elongated black spots represent the barn swallows escaping when summer is reaching to its end, chill weather comes in bringing showers and turning all landscape into warm and ripen colours. We love the elegance and and sense of exclusivity that brings to the one wearing it. Enjoy a gift like this, not only this season but throughout the year.
Finally, the last print of our fall winter silk scarves collection, is “Feathers on the Blue Wind”, a very special design, taken from the modernist architecture of the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona passed through the sieve of the chromatic fashion selection for this fall winter 2015 – 2016, perfect gift for Christmas.
We hope you like them as much as we did painting, designing and crafting them!
